POSITION TITLE: Senior Production Planner/Scheduler
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Establish, implement, and maintain production plans, schedules, reports, and procedures to effectively track the build of configured products throughout manufacturing operations. Proven ability to balance demand, capacity, and inventory within complex manufacturing environments. Drive schedule adherence, reduce lead times, and support continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer expectations and business objectives.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Planning & Scheduling
Participate in the development and continuous refinement of production schedules, supporting order processing as needed.
Effectively utilize ERP systems to plan, coordinate, schedule, and track configured products through manufacturing and shipment.
Determine production lot sizes while managing inventory levels and ensuring schedules align with capacity constraints.
Establish and maintain delivery schedules based on demand, capacity, and operational factors.
Determine manufacturing lead times for individual resources and overall production processes.
Review and revise production plans and schedules based on design changes, production issues, or shifting priorities.
Coordinate buy and make items within orders, confirming material readiness with Purchasing.
Review material requirements and expedite materials to support production schedules and short lead-time demands.
Coordinate shipment of finished goods and components to ensure on-time delivery.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Execution
Collaborate with Purchasing, Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and production issues.
Partner with Product Management and Sales to align production schedules with customer commitments and expectations.
Interface with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and external partners to gather and share critical production information.
Assist with order expediting and proactively monitor order status to mitigate delays.
Work independently to prioritize tasks, ensuring timely and accurate execution of planning activities.
Maintain strict confidentiality of customer and proprietary information.
Analysis, Optimization & Continuous Improvement
Track and analyze new and existing customer orders to ensure accurate scheduling and on-time fulfillment.
Analyze customer demand and adjust schedules to meet ship dates while optimizing production flow.
Document and evaluate key performance data such as capacity, downtime, peak production, scheduling accuracy, and inventory accuracy.
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce internal and customer lead times.
Support and implement new processes, procedures, and special projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and customer service.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in complex, high-mix or configured product manufacturing environments, preferred
Prior experience in a senior or lead production planning role, strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of production planning, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
Proven ability to balance demand and supply in dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, with Epicor experience preferred
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
Experience with data analysis and reporting tools to support production planning and decision-making.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with Sales, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Quality teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
Strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making capabilities to drive production planning and team effectiveness.
APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Familiarity with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.
Strong technical knowledge of production processes, equipment capabilities, and material characteristics
In depth understanding of Master Product Schedule (MPS) and strong knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Lean Manufacturing, and manufacturing business systems.
Position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel

SALARY RANGE: $73,299-$91,624-$109,949, Bonus eligible
