Regional Sales Manager (Texas and Oklahoma)

POSITION TITLE: Regional Sales Manager (Texas and Oklahoma)

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Manage the territory to achieve goals for profitable business growth. Create and promote customer satisfaction through the business-to-business sales of Clearfield’s fiber management and pathway products to meet customer requirements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Proactively develop new accounts and contacts by identifying prospective customer requirements:

  • Represent Clearfield’s product platforms throughout the assigned territory.
  • Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and current customers.
  • Attend regional tradeshows and utilize Clearfield Demo Trailer to provide “hands on” product demonstration to customers.
  • Serves as a customer liaison to Product Management and Engineering teams.
  • Prepare and present Clearfield platform solutions appropriate to customer needs.
  • Collaborates with the sales organization on all aspects of the sales cycle.

Maintain and grow existing accounts and drive incremental revenue opportunities:

  • Manage and lead direct contact with customer core personnel and decision makers, researching new opportunities and prospects.
  • Identify short-term and long-range customer and Clearfield issues; providing pertinent information/options and recommending courses of action.
  • Provide monthly sales performance and forecast to Sales Leadership and Operations to ensure sales activities are tracking to plan.
  • Maintain all customer database information through CRM with accurate notes of all call activity.
  • Build mutually beneficial, long-term relationships with customers throughout the pre and post order sales cycle.

Understand Clearfield’s markets and the products that fit within them by account type:

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by understanding customer’s business, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in field installations, and other learning opportunities that become available.
  • Understands and drives the sales cycle through the appropriate Clearfield channel.
  • Provide product, technical and engineering information as requested.

POSITON REQUIREMENTS:

  • Related technical or business degree preferred.
  • Telecom product knowledge, industry related technical knowledge and experience.
  • Minimum of five years in direct customer sales or a sales support role.
  • Territory specific experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal, written communication skills and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 70%.

SALARY RANGE: $82,642-$103,302-$123,962, Commission eligible

An Offer of employment will be extended at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
