POSITION TITLE: National Accounts Regional Sales Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Drives sales growth and the execution of Clearfield’s National Accounts commercial strategy across assigned Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecom providers and national MSOs in the assigned region. This role is responsible for expanding market coverage through direct engagement, authorized distribution, and private label partnerships. As a key contributor to the National Accounts team, this role serves as the primary contact for designated accounts in the region—building relationships, identifying localized opportunities, and ensuring consistent pull-through across the region while executing the strategic direction provided by National Account Managers and National Account Sales leadership.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead regional level sales activity within assigned national telecom and MSO accounts, ensuring alignment with the broader account strategy.
- Execute the strategic direction set by the National Account Managers, translating account-level plans into actionable regional activity.
- Serve as the primary field contact for key decision-makers and influencers within assigned client locations across Tier 1/Tier 2 telcos and MSOs.
- Partner with National Account Managers and the Director of Sales to support account planning, deal strategy, and execution at the regional level.
- Build strong multilevel relationships within customer organizations to uncover both project-level and programmatic opportunities.
- Conduct proactive territory prospecting, cold calling, and account mapping to grow Clearfield’s footprint within each account.
- Deliver compelling, value-based sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs and network strategies.
- Support deal closure and post-sale follow-up, ensuring a seamless customer experience and long-term relationship success.
- Provide accurate and timely CRM updates on all sales activities, pipeline developments, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Experience teams to ensure solutions meet client technical and operational requirements.
- Stay current on fiber broadband technologies, regulatory drivers, funding programs, and deployment trends relevant to telecom and MSO markets.
- Represent Clearfield at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and field installations as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Five years of outside or inside sales experience, with a focus on broadband, telecom, or fiber infrastructure markets.
- Strong knowledge of Tier 1 and Tier 2 telecoms and MSO organizational structures, procurement processes, and regional deployment models.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders across engineering, operations, and procurement.
- Experience working through distribution and channel partners to support national account strategies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with National Account Managers, aligning daily activity to account-level objectives.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficient with CRM platforms and sales pipeline tools.
- Travel up to 50% for client site visits, partner engagements, and account meetings.

Clearfield's Time Off Policy includes Personal Time Off (PTO) beginning at three weeks annually. PTO is accrued on the first of the month starting on day of hire. In addition, nine paid holidays per year.
SALARY RANGE: $82,642-$103,302-$123,962; Offers of employment will be extended at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
